I am a highly sad person
I am a highly negative person
I am a highly emotional person
I am a highly resentful person
I am a highly anxious person and so it goes on.
I was 60 + when I finally clicked that being a HSP explained all the above emotions and more.

When you start researching into a Highly Sensitive Person the amount written about this topic is bottomless. This fact actually amazed me, as living in the UK I had never heard about this trait and I am quite sure there are a number of other people haven’t either. Being so sensitive can be very painful and we are so in awe about everything, we make our lives hard. Because of this I have collected together lots of articles which I hope will help you work out what is means to be sensitive so discover yourself and understand why you feel as you do. Then you may be able to work out what you can do about .
One thing I have noticed that there are apparently certain levels of sensitivity all which have been given labels . The two that come to the fore front is Empath and Introvert. Here are links to finding out both. These will lead you to more.
Hypersensitivity is so in depth that some people think of it as a disorder. Because of this I am sharing with you some articles from knowledgeable people which will help you assess yourself, gaining understanding.
I am finishing off this introduction into being a Highly Sensitive Person with an introduction to Elaine Aron, American Psychologist who by one book brought knowledge of being a Highly Sensitive Person to the world.

About Elaine Aron
Dr. Aron earned her M.A. from York University in Toronto in clinical psychology and her Ph.D. at Pacifica Graduate Institute in clinical depth psychology as well as interning at the C. G. Jung Institute in San Francisco. Besides beginning the study of the innate temperament trait of high sensitivity in 1991, she, along with her husband Dr. Arthur Aron, are two of the leading scientists studying the psychology of love and close relationships. They are also pioneers in studying both sensitivity and love using functional magnetic resonance imaging. She maintains a small psychotherapy practice in Mill Valley, CA.
